Terms of Use — ScriptedVN

1. The service

ScriptedVN is a desktop program for translating, dubbing and packaging Ren'Py games on your own computer, together with the website scriptedvn.com where you manage your account. It is provided "as is"; results (translations, images, voices) are machine-generated and may contain errors. Contact: support@scriptedvn.com or a support request in your account.

2. Your responsibility for game content

You are responsible for having the right to modify, translate, dub and share the games you process. Use the program only with games you are allowed to modify (your own games, or games whose creators permit it). Do not distribute modified games or translations without the copyright holder's permission.

3. Accounts and sign-in

• You sign in on the website with a one-time code sent to your e-mail address, or with Patreon. No password is stored for you.
• Accounts are created when you sign in with Patreon or when the administrator invites you. You must be at least 18 years old.
• Keep access to your e-mail account safe: whoever can read it can sign in to your ScriptedVN account.

4. Licenses and computers

• One license = one person + one computer. A license may not be shared, resold, distributed or used on another computer.
• If the same license is used on another computer at the same time, the account is locked and you are notified.
• You may move your license to a new computer once per year from your account page. Further requests go to the administrator, who decides at their discretion; approval is not guaranteed.
• After a successful online check, the program works offline for 7 days; after that it needs an internet connection to verify the license.

5. Free and Pro

• Free: 10,000 translated text lines per calendar month with the standard translation model, quality check, and the assistant for setup and questions. Pro tools can be tried on every game: 3 image translations and 10 dubbed lines per game.
• Pro: unlimited text, image translation, dubbing, Android packaging, game compression, higher-quality models, ready-data language packs and the full assistant.
• When a monthly limit is reached, the current job stops and is saved; it continues on the 1st of the next month or immediately after upgrading.
• Limits are set by the server and may be changed with prior notice.

6. Payment, cancellation and refunds

• Pro is available through Patreon and, where offered on the website, through a paid subscription sold by our payment provider Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller (merchant of record) and handles payment, taxes and invoices. We never receive your card details.
• Payments, cancellations and refunds follow the policies of the provider you paid through.
• When a membership or subscription ends, Pro stays active until the end of the period already paid, then the account returns to Free.
• The administrator may grant Pro to people directly (for example testers); such access is not tied to a payment.

7. Acceptable use

Do not try to bypass licensing or quotas, reverse-engineer the license system, abuse the support system, or use the program to harm others. Violations may lead to account suspension.

8. Third-party components

The program downloads models and tools (e.g. translation and voice models, Ren'Py SDK, Android tools) from their official sources, each under its own license, shown to you before installation. See THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for data loss, damaged game files or indirect damages. The program creates backups before changing files; keep your own backups of important games.

10. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from the Privacy page of your account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

12. Changes

We will announce changes in the program's news feed and on the website before they take effect. When the terms change, you are asked to accept the new version the next time you sign in.
